MG unveils NEW MG MAXUS 9 for the first time in Thailand and ASEAN and showcases a wide range of automobiles at the 44th Motor Show 2023

Bangkok – 21 March 2023 – SAIC Motor-CP and MG Sales (Thailand), manufacturer and distributor of MG cars in Thailand, showcase a wide range of automobiles at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show, ready to create a new phenomenon for the EV market. As the first automotive brand to penetrate a new EV market segment with the introduction of the NEW MG MAXUS 9 as a big surprise, the company is sure to present a number of interesting highlights at the event including the official launch and price announcement of the NEW MG ES, a new electric station wagon, and a display of all MG models plus special promotions including 0% interest rate for an up to 7-year installment plan.

As part of this year’s Motor Show, MG will also present the NEW MG MAXUS 9, Thailand’s and Asean’s first 100% electric 7-seat right-hand drive MPV, ready to offer the luxury EV experience. Packed with cutting-edge functions and features, the model comes with a modern design, especially the Dual Panoramic Sunroof that spans across the front and rear seats to provide an overall airy feeling. Other features include an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 4-way adjustable front passenger seat, and VIP Captain Seats on the second row with memory, massage and temperature control systems. The purely electric MPV is equipped with an electric motor that gives a maximum power of 180 kW or 245hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The battery with the capacity of 90 kWh can drive a maximum distance of 540 kilometers, according to the NEW EUROPEAN DRIVING CYCLE (NEDC) standard. In terms of safety, the NEW MG MAXUS 9 comes with 25 ADVANCED SYNCHRONIZED PROTECTION SYSTEMS under the highly-rated standards including the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) and Australasian New Car Assessment Program (AUSTRALIAN NCAP). The NEW MG MAXUS 9 is available in the X – LUXURY and V - SUPER LUXURY sub-models. A special pre-booking privilege worth 40,000 baht is offered to Thai customers with the booking fee of 20,000 baht and a special discount of 20,000 baht when booked at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show or at MG showrooms as well as via https://onlinebooking.mgcars.com/ and the MG THAILAND application. The model’s official launch is slated for May 2023.
