MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd elevates the definition of road safety and reduces the number of accidents by opening a NEW MG Driving Experience Centre. At this new location, NEW MG Driving Experience is equipped with more spaces and facilities than before, it provides MG customers, without any charge, with proper training and knowledge of how to drive safely.

The NEW MG Driving Experience Centre is located on Srinakarin Road (100 metres before Seacon Square), not far from the previous location, which opened in May 2015 and serviced over 3,000 customers and all those interested to participate in the training program without any charges.

Through overwhelming feedback from customers and interested parties, MG has invested THB 35 million into building its NEW MG Driving Experience Centre on over 18 rai or 7.12 acres, a space that also includes a new training room and spacious customer area. MG provides a standardized test drive circuit, having both on-roads and off-roads for realistic training, in order to increase driving skills in daily life. The NEW MG Driving Experience Centre can serve up to 100 clients per day.

“The NEW MG Driving Experience Centre has around 29,000 sqm in area, which is almost double the size of the previous one, and provides more conveniences for customers to learn safety driving skills and functional knowledge in every MG car series under the concept “Safety Driving with MG”. This project also helps boost customers’ confidence in MG brand, as well as enhancing their knowledge of performance and features, which ultimately would give customers a fun experience driving MG cars.” said Mr. Pongsak Lertrudeewattanavong, Vice President of MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

“Customers and those interested who participate in the training program will learn how to drive safely and proper driving skills from the experts, in both theory and practical terms, using the MG test drive circuit for one day with the MG3, MG5, MG6 and the NEW MG GS. The participants will be learning about how to properly adjust seats and car mirrors, how to control the steering wheel while making a turn, how to use the brake pedal correctly, how to be cautious to lower the risk of accidents, how to safely switch lanes, how to react in case of an emergency, how to check and change tires properly, and finally, how to use all smart safety features in MG cars. Certificates are given to participants after their training has been certified by MG. The NEW MG Driving Experience Centre is open every day (Monday-Sunday) for customers and all those who are interested.” Mr. Pongsak added.

The participants are required to hold a driving license for at least 1 year. If participants do not meet this requirement, some evaluation from the MG experts will be needed.

“Car accidents are one of the main causes of death in Thailand, and therefore MG realizes the importance of encouraging driving skills to enhance safety and reduce traffic collisions. The MG Driving Experience training program does not only increase driving knowledge, but also aims to raise awareness of road safety, helping save lives and protect property of the driver and others who use the road. We may help setting a new standard of safety driving in Thailand in the long term.” said Mr. Pongsak
