The world’s largest gathering of MG car enthusiasts which has been held annual for over 80 years was recently held at the legendary Silverstone circuit in the UK. The difference this year is that a full range of contemporary MG vehicles were also featured alongside hundreds of classic MG cars from the last 90 years.

MGLive! is annual 2-day event for real MG enthusiasts and MG Car Club members with over 10,000 participants each year. The event is packed with activities that serve as automotive knowledge base and entertainment venue featuring live musical performances. It includes a chance for MG owners to drive on the legendary Silverstone race circuit, sales and exchange for MG automotive parts, accessories and memorabilia. The weekend event also set the stage for the largest gathering of MG race cars where over 300 drivers compete in similar classic and modern MG cars in several car classes.

The highlight of the MGLive! must be the world’s largest display of classic MG cars thanks to the members of Britain’s MG Car Club (MGCC) which is also the world’s largest MG club. Hundreds of MG cars ranging from the 30’s all the way to the 80’s were proudly displayed all through day and even nighttime when many owners compete for the most spectacular illuminations of their MGs’ interiors.

The MGLive! also featured European debut of the new MG ZS SUV that made world launch last year at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The sub-compact crossover received a warm welcome from participants thanks to its modern, stylish and stimulating design that appeals to the new generation and reflect MG’s ever-forward evolution. 

Function-wise, the MG ZS wowed show goers with its advanced internet-of-things connectivity that allow each individual user to log-in independently. The user interface allows a wide array of control over many of the vehicle’s functions such as security, diagnostics and high-precision navigation. 

Also on display at the event were the complete range of contemporary MG vehicles – MG3, MG5, MG6 and MG GS with full body customisations. Attracting generations of MG enthusiasts from the UK and the world over, the MGLive! is a tradition well worth preserving.
